BREAKING NEWS!!!

We are extremely proud of our Brand Ambassador, Gerda Steyn, who broke the long-standing South African marathon record in a race in Italy on Sunday. Gerda finished ninth overall in the Xiamen Sienna Tuscany Elite Camp Marathon, and stopped the clock in 2:25:28 to beat the 2:26:35 South African record set by Colleen de Reuck in Berlin in 1996 by over a minute!

Next stop....Tokyo Olympic Games!

Age: 30

Profession: Professional Athlete - Marathon/ Ultra Marathon runner

Proudest Sporting Achievement: 2019 Comrades Marathon Winner and Record holder (first woman to run the up-run in under 6 hours); 2018/2019 Two Oceans Ultra Marathon Winner

2021 Sporting Goal: My biggest goals for 2021 is to represent SA for the first time when I compete in the Tokyo Olympic games (marathon). I also want to improve my marathon time and target the South African Marathon record after missing it by 15 seconds in 2020.

Joel Stransky

Age: 53

Profession: Co-Founder and Director of the Pivotal Group

Proudest Sporting Achievement: There are many from different times – Winning the RWC 1995 | Podium at ABSA Cape Epic | Swimming from Robben Island to Blouwberg!

2021 Goal: Finish my 10th ABSA Cape Epic | Ride as many Mountain Bike stage races as I can! Life is about the experience!

Ryan Sandes

Age: 38

Profession: Ultra-distance Trail Runner

Proudest Sporting Achievement: Winning Western States 100 in 2017 and setting a FKT (fastest known time) on the Great Himalaya Trail with Ryno Griesel in 2018.

2021 Goal: Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc podium

Ryno Griesel

Age: 41

Profession: Chartered Accountant & Entrepreneur

Proudest sporting Achievements: 2nd at 24hr World Rogaine (pair of two navigation runs) Champs, New Zealand, 2010 with Nicholas Mulder & setting a new world record (FKT - fastest known time) for crossing Nepal (West to East) over 1400km of the Himalayan mountains in a time of 24 days, 3 hours, 24 minutes, 2018 with Ryan Sandes

2021 Goals: Setting a new record for the 9 Peaks challenge in South Africa - summiting the highest peak in each province & cycling between them (3000km of cycling, 300 of mountain running) - aim to do it in under 21 days

Also prepare for my March 2022 goal: to run around the border of Lesotho, 1000km, 50 000m elevation gain, with Ryan Sandes - aim to do it in under 10 days
